Thomas Jefferson Elementary School (TJES) houses kindergarten through fifth grade and has an enrollment of approximately 350 students. The mission of TJES is to provide students with self-discipline, self-esteem and the motivation to master the academic and social skills necessary to ensure success. TJES has been honored as a Four Star School by the Indiana Department of Education in 1990 and 2011. The dedicated teachers, paraprofessionals and staff believe we are responsible for encouraging every child to meet their potential. TJES is known for its focus on music, art and technology education. Our holistic approach to education provides our students with exciting and challenging opportunities to be successful throughout the year.
TJES partners with the community to ensure the success of all students. One of our largest attributes is our Parent Teacher Association. Over the last decade TJES’s PTA has raised approximately $100,000 to benefit the school, teachers, students, and community.
